Benjamin M. Igwemezie, MD

Benjamin M. Igwemezie, MD is Nigerian-American. He received his MD/MB.BS at the College of Medicine at University of Nigeria in Enugu, Nigeria. He did a postdoctoral training at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu, Nigeria.

He did his residency in internal medicine at the hospitals of Howard University in Washington, DC. He did his fellowship in nephrology at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine. He holds an active license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.

Dr. Igwemezie is well known in his community as a leader in the field of nephrology. He is affiliated with the ASN, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, National Kidney Foundation and the North Carolina Medical Society.
